The Earth Trot Project is proud to be sponsoring a project that will give children in urban areas of Chicago an opportunity that they may never have otherwise had. We’re taking kids off the streets and putting musical instruments into their hands. Not only that, but we’re sponsoring lessons for these kids too. It’s a big undertaking, but one that we are extremely excited to undertake. Currently the project is just in its incipient stage, but more details will be coming soon.
What we can tell you is this: We are super excited to be partnering with The Musician’s Workshop in Westmont, Illinois in making dreams of music a reality for children in the Southwest Chicago area. Already the recipients of a couple pianos(!) and a few other musical instruments, The Musician’s Workshop and The Earth Trot Project are working out the details on how we can best give this opportunity to the most young musicians.
Interested in helping? Here’s what we can use: Your old musical instruments. Whether you have old guitars, ukuleles, pianos or violins, let us know! Working condition or not, we are a 501 (c)3 non-profit organization, and your donation is 100% TAX DEDUCTIBLE! So, instead of that thing kicking up dust in the corner, why not give it to a kid who would love it! If you don’t have any old instruments and still want to help, consider making a donation. Every buck helps!
Stay tuned, more info on this project coming soon! Sign up for our newsletter by filling out the form on your right to be the first to learn about the progress of this project and many others that are in the pipeline….
